The Bigger Picture
Healthy land is the foundation of a sustainable future. Our commitment to regenerative farming and sustainable forestry ensures soil remains fertile, carbon is stored, and ecosystems thrive.
Regenerative farming sequesters up to three times more tonnes of CO2 per hectare than standard farming.
Organic farming leads to 30% more biodiversity and Tencel sustainable forestry requires five times less land than normal cotton farming.
SVANTE & Land
Synthetic fabrics are derived from fossil fuels, with 73% contributing to land degradation and microplastic pollution. At Svante, we believe in regenerative, organic, and biodegradable materials that restore, rather than exploit, the planet.
Fibres sourced from plants, such as regenerative cotton, bamboo, and wood-based materials, require significantly less land than conventional cotton and can be responsibly sourced, preventing deforestation while supporting healthy ecosystems.
Regenerative cotton can sequester up to 1.5 metric tons of CO₂ per hectare annually, nearly three times more than conventional cotton farming, while also restoring soil health and reversing climate impact.
Conventional cotton farming's carbon sequestration capacity varies based on practices like tillage and crop rotation. Studies indicate that adopting no-tillage methods can sequester approximately 428 pounds of carbon per acre per year, equivalent to about 0.48 metric tons of CO₂ per hectare annually. Incorporating cover crops with no-tillage practices can enhance sequestration rates, achieving up to 0.67 metric tons of carbon per hectare per year.
Organic farming eliminates toxic pesticides and fertilisers, leading to 30% more biodiversity in soil. Compared to conventional farming, organic farming creates healthier ecosystems.

Svante Land Commitment
As A Start-Up
We may not have the resources of big brands, but transparency and clear goals can still drive real impact.
Prioritizing Regenerative and Low-Impact Land Use.
We source regenerative and organic cotton and other naturally derived fibers that require less land while improving soil health, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration.
Optimizing Our Supply Chain.
We prioritise land-efficient suppliers who practice regenerative agriculture and sustainable forestry, ensuring long-term soil health and reducing environmental impact.

Svante Partners
Land Conscious
We will only work with suppliers and producers who prioritize regenerative agriculture, sustainable forestry, and responsible land management to minimize environmental impact.
Our Goal From Day 1: we aim to ensure that 100% of our natural performance materials come from verified regenerative or sustainably managed sources, reducing land exploitation and promoting biodiversity.
